Anor Londo

Conceptual interpretation of the buildings at Anor Londo. Gothic architecture has always been a cornerstone of horror stories, and Dark Souls is no different. Ribbed vaults, pointed arches, solemn statues: Gothic buildings have such an intricate pattern of nooks and crannies, it’s no problem to summon what is lurking in its shadows.
Dark Souls is different from most gothic-inspired horror themes however, by relying on actual gothic architecture. The ‘Anor Londo’ print is inspired by the wonderful Il Duomo cathedral in Milan, Italy, a building renowned for its intricacy, detail, and beauty. Players will remember traversing the balustrades - a thing you can’t do in real life, but was added by Dark Souls’ designers as an ‘adventurous’ touch.
Anor Londo plays an important part in the lore of Dark Souls: here, Gwynevere instructs the player to succeed Lord Gwyn.

'Anor Londo' is an official concept artwork for Dark Souls, the first video game in the Dark Souls series, made by Japanese studio FromSoftware. This limited edition Certified Art Gicleeâ„¢ print is part of the official Dark Souls fine art collection by Cook & Becker, FromSoftware, and Bandai Namco. The print is hand-numbered and comes with a Certificate of Authenticity.
