Giclee printing is a relatively new printing technique specifically developed for digital fine art prints. It allows for superior-quality archival prints that are made on an individual basis instead as part of a mass edition.
Within the archival print market there is a lot of difference in quality. Cook & Becker only deals in museum-grade Certified Art Giclees™ (as opposed to inferior gallery-grade or decor prints for example). Because we exclusively sell prints made from digitally created art and not reproductions of paintings for example, our prints are considered to be the originals. Only the highest-quality materials are used and our giclees are tested to last over a 100 years. That is also why we can provide our unique lifelong warranty to the original buyer of a print.
All our available custom finishes are tested to not impact the durability and quality of the giclee print and to enhance the giclee's inherent qualities.

All the fine art prints that Cook & Becker sells are created from digitally made artwork or digital photography. They are not reproductions of a painting for example. Our prints and editions are the originals. Therefore, all our Certified Art Giclees™ and other fine art prints are exclusively sold in strictly controlled limited-editions. Every print is made on an individual basis from a digital master file that was created in close collaboration between the artist and master printer. Only superior quality materials are used. Every print is numbered and signed and comes with a dated Certificate of Authenticity signed by both the artist and master printer.

Certified Art Giclee™ is the European standard for superior quality giclee prints and has been created after the example of the American standard ‘Tru Giclee’ and the Giclee Printers Association (GPA). It is a hallmark for high-quality, limited edition giclee fine art prints created by Giclee Master Printers who are members of the GPE foundation (Giclee Printers Europe).
